Neil Gillespie and Allen Ray lay out what distributors did during the recession, which survival techniques worked best, and some insights into future growth and productivity strategies for distributors to grow in any economy. We reckon only about 5% of distributors will both heed this guidance AND do something about it.

Why? This recession is not just a recession or the shaking out at the end of a "normal" business cycle. It's a fundamental transformation of the economy, and it's far from over. You need to learn how to look at your business in a radically different way, because not many are going to be able to sell for a decent price if you want to get out. You will need to stay in and overhaul your business in every nook and cranny. First you need to revisit the fundamentals. For many, you're going to think the way we look at things is backwards. But alas, those that succeed greatly take the opposite point of view from everyone else and the road less travelled as well.
