JP Morgan and others Lower GDP Growth Expectations: So How's Your Cash Generation?

Had a conversation about cash flow with a very astute friend of mine the other day. I told him a lot of CEOs thought they understood cash flow, but really did not. So he needed to challenge them to go after 20% more cash generation from existing levels of business. That would motivate them, because my friend really knows how to do it... in many different areas of the business. Now JP Morgan and others announce the economy isn't going to grow much if at all. That's code for double dip, folks. How will the FED's propsoed QE3 money printing operation affect all of this, too? What if inflation soars? Start working on CASH generation NOW. and lose that limp wristed "We have a CASH FLOW PROBLEM" when the problem is your business is horribly inefficient and turning cash into mass and cash again - FAST.

Strategist Neil Gillespie wrote this presentation in the year 1999. The edit you can download here was last touched in 2000. Recently, Electrical Wholesaling magazine said it was getting harder and harder to find distributors above $15 million per year in annuals revenues, due mostly to consolidation. Gillespie predicted nealry half the market would reside with the top 20 distributors later in the decade. He said a few other things, too, in the ebusiness arena... most of which came to light.
